What is Project Utopia about?
This project was a chance for me to learn about the UN Global Goals, and about Livability and I improved my public speaking and my group.
Liveability
Liveability is a geography term that measures how desirable a place is to live. For this project, we had to come up with an idea for the port which would be suitable or liveable. We made our utopia sustainable, fun, and futuristic, while still having a functional port. One of our key ideas to improve livability in the area was to connect to the history of the area by having a walkway that acknowledged the traditional owners.
Sustainability
One thing I learned about sustainability through research is that cars use a lot of fossil fuels. To fix this problem our group decided that we would use E-scooters to get around the port as this would be better for the environment. This helps to achieve Global Goal 7 affordable and clean energy as the residents would be using no fossil fuels.
Communicatoin
My group communicated well but we had a rough time working because someone was always away and some people got more work than others and some people and someone was missing on the actual presentation and overall it was hard to work in a group but we still got it done.
