Introduction

Hi, I’m Adam, a Student at All Saints College, part of the Class of 2026

Math Anxiety and Dyscalculia: Learning Strategies for Children

At All Saints, I am part of O’Connor house (The best one) and I was lucky enough to be elected as a Junior School House Captain in 2020. I love to join in with house activities such as Interhouse debating, sport and quiz. I am very interested and passionate about sports, maths, and friendship. I play many sports including basketball, water polo and squash.  This helps me exercise and maintain a positive connection with others who do those sports.  I also am a big fan of problem solving, I love just being able to work out the answer to something and have no doubts it is correct. Maths is one of my passions. I like to do math at home as practise and I love doing mathematics competitions. All of this practise has given me achievements that I am extremely proud of such as an AMC prize in Year 7.  I love to read a lot, my parents say too much, and I love shooting hoops out the front of my house. I find playing board games with my family extremely fun. I have lots of interests and passions that I like to do.

My Free Time

In my free time, I like to read, play Nintendo, shoot hoops, and mainly just spend time with my family. I feel that it is really important to maintain a strong connection with those who are around you and have them feel loved. A great way to do this is just to spend time with them. It is important to have your alone time though which is why I love reading so much, I can just get lost in a great book for hours. I like to shoot hoops as it helps me hone my skills and gives me time to think.
