At the beginning of Term 3, I volunteered to present a workshop on movie making in the photos app at a staff-only workshop. This was something that pushed me very far out of my comfort zone, as I was to present in front of a group of about 40 teachers at the College. However despite my nerves heading in to it, the workshop ended up running really well, receiving a lot of positive feedback afterwards.

‘She explained the program very well and made it easy to understand and work through the program.  Aleisha’s maturity, confidence and calmness, while tutoring a lot of people who are her educators was very impressive.’

‘On Monday, as part of their ongoing professional development program, College staff participated in a ‘carousel’ of workshops run by peers, outside facilitators…and a Year 7 and Year 8 student! I was a member of Amrit Jessy’s tech workshop and while this Year 7 student’s tech knowledge was impressive, it was Amrit’s presentation and facilitation skills, his warm and engaging interaction with his classroom full of teachers and his complete lack of ‘flappability’ in the face of tech delays and unforeseen questions that we were all in awe of.  Aleisha Nelson (Year 8) did an equally fabulous job in her classes!’
