Hi! I’m Amelia

This page will tell you about me!

About me!!

I came to All Saints’ in year 5. I enjoy being creative and trying and making new things. I also really enjoy performing on stage – doing Dance and Music. I dance at school, and I have participated in the school dance concerts since year 5. I also enjoy playing the violin. I have been playing the violin since I was 1 and I have travelled around the world for many music conferences and camps. I have also done a lot of workshops in Perth as well, with my closest violin friends which I have known for most of my life.

Some of my favourite things to do are hanging out with my friends and seeing my family. I love going to Busselton to see my cousins that live on a farm down there. In the future, I am not too sure what I would like to be.

In my family, there are 4 people: me, mum, dad and my brother. My friends see me as a funny, creative and kind person. When you get to know me, I’m very confident.

I feel that hard-working is the most important word to me. This is because if you are hard-working, you can get many things like a job done efficiently. ‘Hard-worker’ to me also means being enthusiastic about your job, or the task you are working on. It means this to me also because you wouldn’t be working hard on your job if you weren’t enthusiastic about it.

What makes me stand out from others is that I am very creative, and positive. I help everyone if they need help in a situation, and I come up with creative ideas for projects and solutions to things. I have been told that I am very positive when Murdoch’s house did our ‘warm fuzzies’ after camp, many people said that I was a positive person.

Respect. I think everyone should have respect because if we all respect each other, we will all get along and our world will be peaceful.

My learning

My favourite subjects are dance and sport as I like participating in active things and moving around.

Subjects I learn in school are Maths Apps, English, Psychology, Human Biology, Dance, and Music Atar 12.

Some study habits that could improve my grades are reading over notes and re-writing them, watching videos, and taking breaks so I’m more focused.

My learning type is visual learning. I like looking at highlighted notes and videos to learn things. I also like re-writing out my notes to get them stuck in my head.

CORE SUBJECTS REFLECTION:

I enjoyed my classes in year 8. I liked English the best because we did lots of fun activities like making videos, doing plays and making posters. My teacher was very funny and nice and she made the lessons very good. I also enjoyed science because we did some fun experiments along with our learning. We covered lots of topics and I particularly liked ecosystems and also biology.

DESCRIPTION.

I liked in English when we did the midsummers night dream plays, as we got to learn lines for our favourite part of the play and we got to rehearse in groups, wear costumes and perform. I liked this as we got to interpret it our own way and do it how we liked. At the end of the year, we got to make a video or something that we wanted to do and we got to make a play or a presentation. I was in a group with Madison and Sascha and we made a play video about someone going to jail and getting chased through the bush. English was really fun last year and I really enjoyed it.

I felt very interested in the midsummers night dream play we did because everyone had a good attitude towards it and the teacher made it fun and exciting. The things that went well were that everyone listened to the instructions and embraced the task well. Everyone did the play to the best of their ability and all brought in costumes and performed well. The things that could have gone better were that some people could have been more organised when learning lines in the timeframe because some people were reading off books when the time came to perform.

The things I learnt about myself was that I could be creative and bring my ideas to all the task we did and I could do the best I could. This learning helped me to give my best effort when working and produce my best work.

GOAL

My goal is to be more positive towards maths and try to make the best out of it

  1. Look at the things that I really enjoy about the subject and focus on those.
  2. Knowing that if I’m wrong it’s not a bad thing.
  3. Ask more questions to make sure I understand things well.

Myself

My interests are dance and music. I like music because I have been playing the violin science I was 2. I like to dance because I like being active and moving around.

My working future

When I am older, I want to be either a vet, teacher, interior designer or psychologist. These are all the jobs that appeal to me and what would probably most enjoy.
