A little bit about me.
I am Amin Arefi, a courageous leader and innovative thinker at All Saints’ College in Year 9. My vision is making a continuous positive impact on myself and the world around me by increasing self-awareness and taking disciplined actions towards my various achievements. I’m also constantly enhancing my leadership capabilities, by taking on roles such as Service Representative and Class Representative. As I value innovative thinking and creativity, I’ve participated and won the first stand in the TiE young entrepreneurship program and Game Changer competition. Also, I always try to maintain a smart-working attitude in all aspects of life, resulting in top performances in school subjects, high-level skills in sport, and great relationships with my family and friends.
I believe leadership is about firstly leading ourselves and then the people who we’re in contact with. In 2020, I was a Service Representative, through which I developed my communication skills, self-awareness and teamwork among peers. This year, I was appointed Class Representative, in which I have been building my skills on organisational discipline and effective collaboration.
I actively apply Innovative thinking and creativity in all aspects of life including the mind, school, sport and family. I have participated in entrepreneurial programs such as the TiE young entrepreneurship program in 2021, for which I developed pitching, business and ethical competition skills. Also, I led a team in the Game Changers competition, developing a prototype for an eco-friendly submarine, and winning first place.
I believe that a work-life balance is an important aspect of a healthy work environment. While I gained a high achievement in my school studies, I have developed great skills in soccer and swimming, achieving the Bronze Star from the Royal Life Saving Society.
All around, I believe I’m a smart-working person, who values Innovation, leadership, and so much more.
