Term 1 $20 Boss

Group: Austin, Jayden, Liam,

Planning Process

At the beginning of $20 Dollar Boss, we were split into different groups to brainstorm what types of hobbies everybody enjoys, and what sort of business they would like to run or be apart of.

In the second week we completed a design thinking process with some older students from the college about designing a face mask for a specific target audience.

In the third week we separated into small groups and completed a design thinking process to come up with business ideas.

What went well?

  • We worked productively as a group. We ideated many creative and ingenious business opportunities, however, we concluded on our Raffle idea. We didn’t end up pitching the idea to get approved.
  • We worked through multiple design thinking processes and even completed a design thinking sprint.
  • The design sprint helped me understand that we would be trying to come up with a solution for the consumers problem’s.

Even Better if

It would have been better if we were informed what sort of event, we would be selling our products for. This would mean that we could have designed our product to appeal to a specific target audience or age group who want to contribute to the event.

I think that it would have been better if we were given extra time in the design process, to prototype whatever product we decided on.
