On Wednesday of the first week of Term 3 Holidays, My family and I attended the Perth Royal Show. We do so every year, and enjoy it so much. The day started off on the train to the showgrounds. We always take the train there. It’s even what my mum used to do when she was young. We arrived at the showgrounds and a sense of excitement lingered in the air as the morning began. A day full of learning about farm animals, plants, and the countryside, there was another excitement. This year, I decided to crochet a tea cozy enter it into the royal show. It was green, with leaves, vines and had small crochet citrus pieces fastened to it. There was also a small ladybird at the top. To my delight, it won second place in my category! A family tradition is to stop at the WA dairy pavilion to buy delicious, warm, gooey cheese toasties for lunch. After that, we watched some pig racing, sheep dog wrangling, and got our show-bags. I got sour candy, lollipops, and gummy candy in mine. That will go down very well. After a day of fun, it was time to catch the train home, away from the Claremont Showgrounds for another year.
