Career Research Task

In the second half of term 1 in life skills we have been looking at jobs and careers. We have done quizzes and tests as well as research to find out some jobs that we might be interested in or jobs that fit our skills. One of the jobs that matched my skills and interests was civil engineering.

Skills and knowledge areas that civil engineering requires are Engineering and technology as well as maths. I believe that I fit these areas and skills and I feel like I am interested in this topic. Civil engineering is about designing and planning buildings and structures.

There are lots of different places where civil engineering happens as when you want buildings and structures you need engineers. Here is some graphs about the job that I found interesting:

Civil engineering requires lots of collaboration with other people that work at your business as well other companies and businesses that are working on the same task. I believe I have pretty good communication and collaborative skills which is another reason why I found this job interesting and believe that I would be good at the job.
