The best learning experience I got to be part of was the innovated service projects. I think this because it was fun to work for someone and to experience something people do in the real world. I also think that it was the best because we got to be creative and problem solve.
If I could change anything about year 8, I wouldn’t change anything. I think this because everything I did was fun while still learning a lot. Also, the experience was challenging at times, but it helped later in the year for harder tests and assessments.
My most enjoyable experience was camp. This is because by doing it I got to meet, learn and work in groups with people in Murdoch house who I didn’t know so well. I also think that it was a good experience because I did new things such as setting up a tent and hiking.
I think I made the biggest contribution to the school when I donated stuff for the Christmas appeal. I personally think this because the salvos are a big organisation and by donating, I think I helped out others in need.
I think I learnt the most about myself on camp. I think this because we did lots of activities that we hadn’t done before such as crate climb and low ropes and it really brought out some traits in me that I didn’t really know I had such as communication skills.
The advice I would give to new year 8’s would be don’t stress it’s not that hard, because it might seem like a lot of work and tests but there’s not that many and also, they’re normally spread apart giving you time to study for them.
