This term, all the year sevens worked on a christmas market the raise money for the salvation army. During this time, we got into groups in our tutor group and had to make a product to sell from year 5-year 9.In my group was Suzy, Phoebe and Pearl. We made christmas trees out of yarn as well as hair braiding. We faced many challenges along the way such as choosing our product, who was doing who and making our product.
The purpose to get into groups was to test our team building as well as teamwork and communication. The choice of our product was not our first preference. We were deciding on a different product but not everyone in my group agreed with that idea so we decided to make something we all decided on.
Doing hair braiding was a success in our store since approximately 12 girls got their hair braided. our christmas was a challenge on the other hand since they were a lot harder to make than we thought. We ended up making 9 because a lot of them had broken while we were trying to take the foil off. We ended up selling out of them which was a complete surprise.
In general we made a profit of $33 dollars which was much better than we thought.
