For This Term in Innovat[ED], Phoebe, Hayley, Olivia and I had decided to make hygiene packs for people living with homelessness. We collaborated with the salvation army to go around to different tutor groups around the school and collect hygiene packs that students and staff had brought in.
During COVID-19, many people across Perth and Australia were living with no food, hygiene or a roof over there head, so our group decided to help out people living hard. We faced many challenges along the way since the original idea was to redesign the Salvation army store room, but because of COVID-19, this became difficult task so we eventually had to change our idea to something easier or more practical.
When we eventually redid our idea to help out the salvation army, we faced many challenges along the way. We had group members not pulling there weight in the group as well as money and time issues. When we first started with this idea, we had planned to do a crazy sock day to collect the money to buy hygiene packs. As we got more into the idea, we realized that eventually we would not have enough money to buy 50 hygiene products. Eventually we changed our idea for the whole to school to pitch in.
We wanted each tutor group in the senior school to bring in hygiene packs, without having to collect money. Right now it is a competition between each tutor group to bring in the most hygiene packs would win a pizza lunch.
Our idea eventually ended up going through and now we are in the middle of this successful achievement and hope that our idea will end up amazing:)
