Dams human impact.
Pollution human impact.
Millions more have lost land and homes to the canals, irrigation schemes, roads, power lines and industrial developments that accompany dams. Many more have lost access to clean water, food sources and other natural resources in the dammed area.

Solar power

The answer is simple: solar energy. Solar energy is simply the light and heat that come from the sun. People can harness the sun’s energy in a few different ways: Photovoltaic cells, which convert sunlight into electricity. Solar thermal technology, where heat from the sun is used to make hot water or steam.

The terms “wind energy” and “wind power” both describe the process by which the wind is used to generate mechanical power or electricity. This mechanical power can be used for specific tasks (such as grinding grain or pumping water) or a generator can convert this mechanical power into electricity.
