For our HASS project, this year Solomon and I are doing a sausage sizzle on the night of the expo. This falls under the economics category as we are making a business with a plan and a budget. There is a lot that goes into creating a business that we did not initially realise. You have to research what to buy, actually, buy it, do a business plan and much more. A lot of the work has to happen on the night and in the few weeks leading up but we are doing as much now while we can. The reason we chose to do a sausage sizzle is that we thought it would be a fun way to do a different type of presentation. It’s not the typical research and make a poster, it is more hands-on and exciting. At the moment we are planning to make 150 hotdogs and sell an undecided number of drinks. The question we want to answer is how to make the most profitable sausage sizzle on the night. It was hard to find a lot of sources to help us be we had to be creative and in the end, all of our sources will help us answer our question. We will buy most of our products closer to the time so it is fresher.
