Reflection:

By: Jorja South

In my faceless portrait I really like how the focus is on the pole, using the rule of 3rds and leading lines I was able to create a slight blur in the background keeping your focus on the pole. I find this photo very catching as I haven’t done many photos where I use to use of reflection to grab attention. I tested my own skill in this photo as getting the pole to show the reflection was quite tricky and took a but of time, but I am happy with the outcome of trying something new.

How I could improve: like in any picture there is always something to improve on.

  • creativity: To make my photo for creative I could of used more items like props to make my figure stand out more in the photo as the school dress doesn’t capture much attention.
  • skill: I could of used some more camera techniques like creating a larger depth of field, as this would of created more shape to the photo, The pole is also a bit dirty and wiping this down could of make the picture much more in focus.
  • Aesthetics: to improve on framing I would minimize the amount of side space from main center piece. to improve on the composition of the photo I would position the camera so I miss the red fire hydrant as it is quite distracting from reflection.
