My partner and I came up with the idea of a product brand called Badges for Trees. This was basically where we made badges out of recycled paper and aluminium and custom designs that were our original ideas. Our original idea was going to be laser cut wood badges with just simple plain designs of trees, but we were able to add more onto this idea and expand it to using environmentally friendly materials and making designs much more original and attractive so that it would appeal to a larger audience.
Capabilities and how I used them
The capabilities we worked on and used were ethical, collaborative, end effective communication. This is shown through the actions of how we worked. An example of this is when we when working together and evenly splitting good work which was working with aspects of the project that were more tailored to our talents and interests which shows collaboration. Another example of the capabilities we used was effective communication. We showed effective communication for how we communicated with people who were interested in our work and people who came up to our stand at the presentation at the showcase, which included having a scripted and informative presentation and knowing what to say, looking interested when we were talking about our project and also use standard communication etiquette (eye contact etc.)
How I think this project can make an impact
Personally, I never expected this project to be as entertaining and fun as I had experienced. I think that if I continued my product as an entrepreneur it would be a big success and would also have a positive impact on my community as it goes to support new tree growth in Australia and worldwide too.
