Skills and Course reflection

We’ve enjoyed working thoroughly on both offence and defence throughout this semester of spec basketball. Whether they are attacking exercises and drills or defensive strategies like the shell drill. My ability to make decisions in-game and overall product quality have both considerably improved as a result of this.

But the ability I’ve been able to develop the most throughout this unit is my decision-making while I’m on offence. Working my way through this course has given me confidence that influences my decision-making, whether I’m shooting, driving, or passing. My in-game settings have benefited from the introduction of weekly games on Tuesday mornings. Being assigned to several teams with varying skill levels, and being forced to adapt in order to attain the greatest success has resulted in newly discovered abilities and confidence that were previously concealed.

Throughout our unit, we have received several visits from experts in various basketball-related fields. This includes yoga, stretching, and strapping. The rehabilitation course, in my opinion, was the one that I personally found to be the most helpful. It was able to shed a great deal of light on how your body truly recovers and what may be done to quicken the process. I was able to discover the importance of taking cold showers for healing and have personally used this knowledge to aid my own recovery. since my basketball games, I used to have significant muscular discomfort, but since learning this, I’ve substantially reduced it.
