Cooking- in the cooking part of lock I have cooked twice and the first time we cooked sausages and chorizo. the first time we cooked we didn’t get to light a very good flame and and it was only big and hot enough to cook 2 things but the rest which was French toast didn’t get cooked because the flame was too small. the following week we did a Mexican cook off which was very successful and this time we got a good flame which allowed us to cook everything to cook the burritos that we were making. the only problem about having a good flame is that we only needed to cook mince and beans so we finished way before the fire went out. in the end we had some very good and juicy burritos for snacks and for dessert we had corn chips.
Rock Climbing- rock climbing this term has been very fun especially when we got to go to the urban jungle. this was very fun because it was much easier and required less grip strength but it also has many difficult ones that I was actually able to complete. my favorite part of this is that once you complete any level of difficulty you can then move on to the next difficulty. we also did rock climbing at school but for me this was very difficult because I couldn’t find many spots to hold onto. the main problem though is that I got very tired and my hands got very sore.
Leave No Trace- over the course of lock there many times where leave no trace was very important. a example is at the camp we had. it was very important that we picked up any pieces of rubbish because t is very good for the environment which is the main reason I feel the need to clean up after myself. this is not the only time that we need to have leave no trace in our mind. I think that we should always have it in our head so that if you ever see rubbish you ca pick it up and dispose of it.
