The HotHouse Company had a film festival competition. A film festival is where groups of 2-4 create a short film, on a topic. In our case, our topic was ‘refugee’. Me and my other group members Nishaan Sunner and Nithin Shivakumar created a film together, that in the end we won the film festival. The prize for it was a $25 dollar JB Hi-Fi gift card.
Our video was called ‘Runaway’ and it was a poem that we wrote together. We drew the drawings at home, and then animated them on an iPad. For the background music, Nithin played Stairway to Heaven on the app ‘Garageband’ for it.
This was a great experience for us to learn some film skills, and we were very proud for winning the prize in the film festival. Below is our video
