In the last 6 weeks we have been learning about training our brain and our inner grit. These topics are very important to us as we rely on them for our future. A healthy brain helps us go through life easier and quicker. We know this as we were shown a video on a regular human going through a series of test to test his reaction time and then testing him after the session of testing his brain. The results were shocking as there was a significant increase in reaction time.

Grit is almost an inner strength of which people embrace themselves and show how nothing is impossible. We were once again shown a video of a man who was born with no arms and legs who showed us that nothing is impossible. He to this day proceeds to be a motivational speaker.

Another topic we have learned is resilience which once again is proven to us by the motivational speaker. He told us that things may seem impossible at times but to never give up and keep trying. Resilience is all about patience and determination to do something.

On to the final topic that we leaned is happiness. Happiness is not something that we can buy from the shelf but rather something we must achieve. Happiness is achievable by having a good attitude and a healthy mind. As we can see all the things that we have learned link up. Happiness, resilience, grit and training the brain are all the factors we are required to be the person we can fully be. There is no “prefect” human, but these factors add up to a perfect human.

We learned more in Life skills these last 6 weeks, but these were the highlights which stood out to me out of all the things we learned.
