Hello my name is Shama Ramachandran, I am 13 years old and I currently attend All Saints College. I have a very driven personality and if i want to achieve something I will put in the work to try to achieve it. I am interested My favourite STEM subjects at school are English, specifically creative writing and Maths. I really enjoy playing sports such as tennis and dance I have a younger brother(11) and an older sister(16).

One of my main interests is dance. I do all styles which include ballet, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, hip-hop and acrobatics. I really enjoy competing and attending various workshops as it allows me to perform in front of others and introduces me to different types of choreography from different artists. Some of the college values happen to be crucial in order to be successful as a dancer such as organisation and resilience. Dance can be really time consuming so it vital skill to be organised which allows you to juggle other priorities such as school work. At times this can get quite challenging like during competition season, so it is really important to plan ahead so you know what events you have coming up and so you are able to block out times to get other priorities completed.

Another key value which is essential to do well is resilience. There are going to be times were you don’t win or you don’t get a role you really want because someone else was the better person that day. It is really important to not take these occurrences negatively or personally but instead to take them as learning experiences which you are able to grow and improve from. For example whenever I know I didn’t perform the best or things didn’t go to plan I don’t take it to heart but know for next time how I can avoid the same situation happening.
