My $2 Project

WHAT THE $2 PROJECT IS:

The $2 project is something everyone did in Year 5 (in All Saints). It was where everyone started with two dollars that was borrowed from their parents. They used that money to start their project. The project was to sell something, and the money they got from that would be put towards a charity. The two dollars and any other money borrowed would be used for buying materials to make or get their product. Later they would pay it back. On the left is a photo of me selling my product.

HOW I GOT READY FOR MY $2 PROJECT:

The thing I sold was iced tea. I made two types. One was green tea and the other was rooibos tea. To make them I had most of the ingredients, and I used my $2 to buy the rest. Next I had to print off three posters, one inviting people to buy some and saying that the money would go to charity, and the next two saying what type of iced tea the two types were. On the right is a photo of me holding out my signs.

HOW MY SELLING WENT:

I decided to sell my iced tea in the closest park to us, Deep Water Point. I set up my table next to the playground. Unfortunately, only one family bought some. I think that was because most of the people had already bought their own food. So the next time I sold my iced tea, I did it next to a path (in Deep Water Point) where people usually run, walk or cycle by. I got a lot more people that way. On the left is a photo of me selling iced tea next to the playground. Below is a close-up of my iced rooibos tea and a photo of me selling my iced tea next to the path.
