This week I had the opportunity to mentor a new volunteer at church. Every month I serve multiple times in the production team. The team as a whole has the job of running the livestreams and capturing the sermons. I joined the team a while ago, as the youngest recruit, however over the past year I have had the opportunity to mentor and teach two new volunteers, both in year 7.

This week the Murdoch council hosted an ice cream fundraiser on the common to help support and raise awareness for the Salvation Army. I really enjoyed the whole process of helping organise and make this fundraiser happen, and I think all our efforts paid off.
Week 2- project update
Context: in mandarin we are working on a project to be presented to other schools in relation to increasing the participation of the Chinese community within All Saints’ in events such as the P+F cookup and Food frenzy, that focus on helping provide food for the homeless

Earlier this year, on the 17th of February, I attended the Anglicare Ambassadors program launch at Christchurch Grammar School. Before applying last year, I already had an idea of the kinds of campaigns and projects we would be doing, however at the program launch we were able to see what other schools were implementing and were also informed of the importance of our work as Anglicare Ambassadors. There were many interesting projects and events that were mentioned, such as a school run op-shop, and also the sleep out.

I recently applied to serve in a ministry at my church in order to give back to my community. I chose to volunteer in the production ministry- which basically deals with the video production, filming and CGI of the weekly church livestreams.
