This term, we have taken on the task of the driver’s ed course which essentially is learning the ropes and basically teaching us the realistic things of driving. In this course, I have learned so many things in this course, such as the safety precautions for driving at is one of the most dangerous things in the world. As driving is one of the most useful things, there are many things that you must keep in mind while driving, the thing that I am focussing on is the usage of mobile phones while driving. I have learned that nearly 400 people die each year related to car accidents from the usage of mobiles. This is according to the 400 Australian government website. or Australia.gov.

My issue is an issue for young people due to the reason that social media and technology is evolving, and more technology is being used in our everyday life. Most people over 16 have the phone. Reduction on mobile phone usage while driving, reducing the death rank is the goal I am trying to reach, with no specific limit or goal to reach I just aim to make people aware. What age group is most likely to use a phone while driving? Young people between the ages of 18-24 and 25-39 reported the highest percentage of mobile phone use while driving, with 94% and 91% (respectively) admitting to this. My communication approach is Tikok as most teenagers have Tiktok. Strategies I used is the humour of the video, the accessibility of the video as it is free and on Tiktok, and the appeal, the visual attractiveness of the video.

I cannot put the video as the video is too big but here are some pictures from our short video clip.

1. The biggest thing that I have learned while completing this task is how important it is to remain safe while driving. To be specific, not to be distracted while driving and have a clear mindset and really focus on driving. There are really horrible effects of driving while distracted. for example, Distracted driving can increase the chance of a motor vehicle crash. Anything that takes your attention away from driving can be a distraction. Sending a text message, talking on a cell phone, using a navigation system, and eating while driving is a few examples of distracted driving.

2. One piece of advice that I would pass on to the future young drivers of our generation is that have a clear mind and focus on the road, your surroundings, and incoming objects/vehicles. I give this advice to the younger drivers because it is simple and straight to the point, as many people each year lose their life due to the horrible effects of reckless driving, drunk driving, and, driving while distracted.

3. will not put other people at risk by speeding, driving while tired, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. I will protect all vulnerable road users, especially those whose job places them in harm’s way, by slowing down and giving them the space they need to be safe. I will stick to this commitment as every time I am in the car, I will remember this pledge and abide by it before I turn the engine on.
