In this unit of health we learnt about online safety and how to use the internet properly. At the start of this unit I used Youtube, Instagram, Google and video games as my media intake. The key things that I learnt in this unit was how to show empathy, respectfulness and responsibility. These qualities and values taught me how to post comments respectfully, how to understand what other people are feeling and how to respect people’s boundaries, feeling and beliefs. Therefore whenever I go onto social media or any other kind of media then I’ll be more respectful and kinder towards my response and online behaviour. I do plan to change my online behaviours in the future as the world is changing so fast and so is the internet so in order to upkeep the standard of respectfulness, Empathy and responsibility that we use in our everyday lives we need to change our toxic, immature, excluding and disrespectful online behaviours.
