At the start of the term we were introduced to the program called $20 boss. This program is about innovation and enterprise. This gives students a chance to display their ASC capabilities. The first group I was put with didn’t have any good or innovative ideas and I think. Therefore I transferred to another group with more potential and higher rate of success. I joined Jamie and Cooper which later became, Aussie Imprints. Anna joined the group later on and the group became more sucesful and efficient.
The values and capabilities that I have learnt during this program was, teamwork, resilience and creativity. I displayed teamwork because I learnt my team’s weaknesses and strengths. This help me show teamwork because then I filled in the holes in the group and having various jobs to do. This included helping Jamie screenprint and ironing the tea towels so their straight to screenprint and then later sell.
I developed resilience because many times our tea towels failed with wax stains, manufacturer’s faults and various faded prints hurting the quality. I learnt to bounce back and problem solved with my group to get rid of the stains and work our way around the problems.
Finally I learnt creavity because I had to design many strategies to work around the problem and had to imagine the stall placement, how it worked and the theme that we wanted to portray in our product and company.
All in all this program was a great experience helping students to showcase their innovation and their creativity and design skills.
