$20 Boss Reflection

When I first started planning my idea I thought of doing a basketball cleaner that would make sure your basketball stays clean and grippy. I thought it was a pretty good idea and I thought I presented it pretty well. I think I could have improved when presenting my idea by telling a more personal story about why I think this is a good product will work.

Once the employment process had finished Adam had chosen to employ me. When coming up with our product we found a website that showed us what a digital design of our keyboards would look like. Then Adam decided to create stickers instead. So Adam came to school the week after he came back with a bunch of different designs and sizes. In class that day we came up with more designs and he printed them off throughout the week.

On the day of the market it started off pretty slow but once there were a few people inside people were coming over to our stall asking what we had made. On that morning we sold about $65 dollars worth of stock. When it came to dividing the profits we got $12.10 each.

What went well:

I think our organisation at the market was great because we didn’t have to go follow people around asking them how much they spent we were just able to stay behind the counter and serve as they came along. I think the communication between most of our group members was good because we all listened to each other and see how someone’s idea would work and if it would be good for our business.

What would you change:

I would change how often the product was changed because at some point half our group thought we were doing keycap stickers then it changed to just normal stickers. I think we should have improved our communication on what the product idea is.

What did you enjoy:

I enjoyed the fact that we had a product to sell at the market and we actually have made a profit off of this product.
