Last term in Innovat[ED] we started to look at and research about the UN goals. After we looked at all of these goals we got to decide which goal we thought meant the most to us, which one we wanted to make a difference about. After some thinking I chose to work on goal number 13. This goal is based on climate change and how greatly it is affecting the world. All of us humans do not realise how fatal climate change is and how much it is affecting us. So many animals have gone extinct because of climate change and how we are not doing anything to stop it. That is why myself, Mia and Abbey worked together to create and advertisement to help raise awareness about climate change. We also chose the specific topic of using sustainable energy would be cheaper and better for the environment in the long run.
We created a video with us in it, a slideshow with the information that we gathered about climate change and what we can do to stop it and we also created a poster. We are hoping to be able to show the slideshow on some of the television’s around school, in Wanju or the D block. This has been a very hard because the televisions are quite a viewed part of the school. Things that we could have improved on are staying more focused and getting more done in each lesson. This is because we did not get everything we wanted to get done each week and took a while to get the filming done.
