Dwelling up Day trip lock

In term 2 we got the opportunity to go on a day Camp to Dwelling up for 1 of our electives. Then were where down there we did bush cooking, kayaking, and tree climbing

Kayaking

We started off the day by kayaking. Unfortunately, we were really late so we didn’t get much time out on the water. We unpacked the kayaks and then carried them down into the water. There was nowhere near the water for us to begin kayaking from so we slid in from the top of a flight of stairs going into the water. When we were in the water, 3 people capsized and then I got a lot of water in my boat from being splashed. We then split into two groups and went on either side of the river and played tag. When we got out of the water it was very cold but the water was crystal clear and very pretty.

Bush cooking

Next, we had bush cooking. For bush cooking, we had to organize in our groups what we were going to cook and who was going to bring what. We also had a job aside from us my job was to cook the meat and cut the rolls. We had organized to make boerewors rolls with onion. We started this but collecting some timber and kindling. Then started building the fire. Once the fire was going we started to prepare the food. once we had enough coals we started cooking. The whole time we were there we kept the leave no trace in mind, planned head and prepare’ we plan who was going to bring was . after we had cooked and packed up, we then spread out went looking for peace of trash. We all aimed to get 15 pieces each

Tree Top Adventures

The last thing we did before we left was go to tree top adventures. we walk to the campsite where we were cooking to tree top adventure. Then we got there we put off our harness and go climbing. There were different courses to choose from. Each with more difficulty and/or higher. We and my friends started on the zipline one then made out way the more difficult ones. The most difficult one I did was blue.
