One of the main things I learnt at the RAC drive safe excursion was that sleep is the number one priority. If you did not sleep the night before, do not drive as every year 100,000 crashes happen with 71,000 injuries and over 1,550 deaths. These could have been avoided if you just make sure that you get 7-8 hours the night before. Take precautious measures, like breaks every half an hour and swap drivers if you are driving with someone else.
If you did not sleep the night before do not drive rather have someone else drive and take breaks, as taking breaks and getting our of your car gets the blood moving in your body, helping you stay awake which in turn is increasing your reactions times. |
