Christmas Market Reflection

Last Tuesday (Week 7) , we used all of the gathered expertise of business and economics, and held the annual year seven Christmas Market. Since the start of this term, we had been learning all about entrepreneurship, pricing, effective print advertising techniques, and many more elements of a successful business. This led up to a Christmas market essay response, a print ad assessment, and the Christmas Market itself. My group was crocheting little monster themed paperweights, as well as weaving these special bracelets. I believe we really did well on our sale techniques. We sent Toby out to talk to potential buyers, and try to get them to come to our stall. Thomas was counting up change and money (to make sure there were no mistakes made), and I was doing the sales at our stall. Next time, I would do the following differently: Make sure we had more products to sell, as our monsters old out quickly, not be as rigid with the pricing (move it up and down depending on supply and demand). These are the monsters we made. They sold out fast, even though we raised the price from $4 to $5. Overall, I really enjoyed the Christmas Market experience and learnt a lot from it.
