Making A Positive Difference

What ASC Capabilities have I demonstrated?

Collaboration๐Ÿ™Œ

Although I am new to All Saints, I find that my class 7Z, has our own special way of connecting with each other. We are all weird some ways. Like real weird. But somehow, we are learning more about each other every day, and we are slowly creating life-long friendships with one another. As this year progresses, I’m finding that we are learning how to work with each other. I’ve been working well with others, in my class and also within the whole year group. I help others in my group and let everybody contribute to our assignment. Although sometimes it may be tiring to stop arguments and agree on one point, it always works out in the end. But, this wouldn’t be possible without all the students and staff, who teach and learn in Year 7. They have created a community that I am able to feel comfortable in, and when I’m finding it tough, there is always somebody in the corner cheering me on.

Organisation๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“š

This year, I have been remembering to bring all the right textbooks and exercise books to class. I have remembered my diary and all the necessary requirements for our next two periods. I’ve been handing in homework before the due date and try my absolute best in all tasks. I’ve cleaned up my locker so that it will be easier to get things which are needed for the next periods. I believe that being organised is a good skill to develop because, without organisation you’re just going to keep falling behind, and not only will you not be able to catch up, but your stress levels would be off the charts!

Creativity๐ŸŽจ

This year, I’ve used creativity in lots of my projects. For one of our InnovatED classes, we had to create table made out of cardboard and masking tape. Later on, we would test the table to see if it was able to hold 10L of water. This project required lots of creativity because we had to think of a design which wouldn’t be too time-consuming to build but would still hold the 10L. Also, I needed creativity for our English poster. In our poster, we were meant to make a poster on somebody in our class. Kelvin was my partner and to make my poster stand out, I made his poster like a fish tank because he loves fish. This way, the poster would stand out from the rest in the class. Creativity is important because it allows your work to become more unique and enables you to think differently.
