During Term 1 in Chinese, we first learnt how to say all the different numbers in Chinese. We first learnt 1 to 10, and eventually extended that knowledge to how to say numbers above 10. After this, we learnt how to ask questions, about birthdays, introducing yourself and your age. Once these were mastered, we acquired the knowledge of how to ask, who is in your family? and do you have a sibling? We were also taught what the different names of our family members were and how to say them. Our class learnt the Measure Word Formula, and how and when to use the different measure words. We also learnt some basic Chinese writing, and completed some in class.
After learning all this, we wrote a script in Chinese, which we then spoke aloud and recorded into Voki. The script was about ourselves, our family and our pets. Here is the link for the Voki.
