House and College achievements

These are awards and house contributions I have done over my time at All saints’ college. Most of them have been towards house, as I love being a part of my house and contributing my own thoughts and ideas to future plans for Forrest house

Forrest House captain (year 6 2017)

When I was in year 6, I enrolled myself into the junior school council for 2017. Originally I was running for environment captain, but I eventually ran for Forrest house (as I didn’t get the role haha). So, I was on the Junior school council, this included meetings once a week, working with my other captains (including my other house captain), and giving a contribution to the junior school, through giving our opinions on new ideas given by the staff and our legacy symbol (map of the aboriginal and Torres strait island states).

Forrest House council (years 9-)

Since year nine, I have continuously made an effort to put myself forward for the house council. I have always had pride in my effort towards my house and I am always one of the loudest people at house carnivals. I have loved being a part of the house council and always try to put myself forward for ideas and needs for the house.

Forrest House peer support (year 11 2022)

Last year, All of the Forrest year 10s (now year 11s ) took part in the personal development program, which not only allowed us to bond with our fellow Forrest peers but also for the Forrest teachers to decide who would do well as peer support leaders. I was one of the lucky nine who was able to take part in the peer support program, and I have loved every second of it. You get to make friends with the year eight and just have fun with them, which I always love doing. I am a very extroverted person and joining up with them and just being yourself not only helps them make friends with them, but also learn things about yourself.

The College Medal (year 9 2020)

The college medal is given to those who show what is the best of the college both in and out of school. It is given to those who are model students of the college, in both academic and social abilities, by exhibiting the college values and annual theme.

In 2020, my sister, Manya, sadly passed away. Because of this, I missed four weeks of school and missed alot of content that the rest of my peers had done. Even though I had missed this information, I still had a very good report with mostly consisting of high As. The college theme of 2020 was live your why. The passing of my sister , even though it was a sad occasion, really did push me forward and made me more determined to ‘live my why’ (which is the dramatic arts and med lab sciences). I have always known since a young kid what I wanted to be when i grew up, and it hasn’t changed since I was 10. I also always try to live through ERIC and always try to put my best foot forward, which I guess is why I was given the college medal
