My Mind-Sets

Fix Mind Set

When I was younger, I tried Kumon (maths class) I did it for 2 years and did not like it and I was never good at it.  Whenever I went to the class I never tried because I did not understand it and they never really helped so I didn’t see the point in trying.  I learned that if I had opened my mind a bit more, I would have been able to learn more skills which would have made it easier for more in the coming years when math became harder.

Growth Mind Set

When I started roller skating, I always fell and tripped, now I can skate relatively well without falling as much.  When I told myself that I could skate and kept trying it gave me more resilience, it also gave me the confidence to try.  I learned a lot from this experience like that I should never give up on an activity even if it is challenging and how to roller skate.
