The task that I want to talk about is task 2a, this task was assessed by an oral presentation where we had to create a speech for our chosen issue. I think that my speech follows the values of eric, more specifically effective communication, Inquisitive, creativity, and resilience. I chose the issue black lives matter, I chose because it has recently been a concern globally and I felt it would be a good current issue to talk about.
I effectively communicated the main issue regarding black lives matter and stated what I thought about the issue. I tried to come off to the audience as passionate and inspiring. I had to be inquisitive to make sure that I had mentioned important facts about the issue and why specifically it was wrong in an engaging way. Saying this, it was an oral presentation that required me to speak in front of an audience which made it quite nerve-racking and scary. I had to be resilient with the way I spoke and continue when I messed up. I had to pace myself and slow down when I thought I was being too passive. This required me to think on my feet and leave sometime in between sentences to let things sit in. I have never written a speech quite like this one before so it took some creativity to research into famous speeches on black lives matter then make my version original to me.
This oral presentation really brought the eric values out of me as I have mentioned, this assessment has changed my vision on the way I look at every assessment in every class. This assessment made me push out of my comfort zone and not only that made me use the skills that I had to create something that I was eager to share. I feel that in this assessment I inquisitively used my creativity to effectively communicate a resilient speech.
