Rock Climbing

Rock climbing was one part of this outdoor ed class which included rope tieing to set up the wall and belaying. We would climb during our lessons on the rock climbing walls inside the indoor sports center with four different walls set up three people on each wall a climber, belayer, backup belayer.

Self-aware – During this, I had to be self-aware when considering my climbing abilities and self-aware when belaying and backup belaying of the rope and the climber so that it was safe.

Bush Cooking

During class, we practiced cooking over a fire with different recipes including nachos, french toast, and eggs. we then cooked nachos, fried rice and apple crumble on camp. over the camp and lessons, we became very proficient in starting and maintaining fires and chopping wood with the axe.

Collaboration – The most important part of bush cooking was making a good fire with had many elements involved in making a good fire we needed to work together in chopping wood, applying wood to fire, and keeping the fire going. We then also had to collaborate when cooking with chopping, cooking, and cleaning involved with everyone responsible or bringing.

Camp

The camp was three days in Honeymoon pool, we started with rock climbing in the afternoon on the first day which also included abseiling in a quarry. Then the next day we started with white water rafting and after lunch did the amazing race. on the way back to school we had lunch in the Pinjarra bakery.

Organisation – This trip I had to be prepared with food and water for the 3 days, cold weather clothes and wetsuit and bathers. If I had forgotten to bring stuff it would have made camp less enjoyable.
