This year for year 9 camp we went to Kalbarri and stayed, ventured at the canyon. At camp my classmates and I worked together as a team in activities like setting our tents, bush cooking, adventuring in the canyon.
Our first activity was learning to set up our tents at the entrance to Z bend we learnt from our camp instructor and my tent mates, and I work together as a team to set up our tents. My tent mates, and I were done we made the inside of our tent then we would go on to the activities. After the first time we had to set up tent twice more, but it got easier, and our teamwork increased as well
Once we had our tents ready it was already night our camp group was tired and hungry, the teacher and camp instructor put up a very low rain cover so we could cook without getting wet, as soon as we set up our cooking utensils the rain started to pour, I took leadership of my tent and made sure none of our stuff got wet. Once we are starting cooking, we got in a group of three to cooking, we had roles, the fire watcher, the cutter, and the gatherer, these roles where very important as they helped us work as a team.
In the morning we would have our breakfast and get ready to go adventuring into the canyon the canyon was wet and a very long trip. when we were going down, we made sure to work as a team to get down there safely and have fun with our activities.
This year at year 9 camp we stayed at Kalbarri canyon. I had moments where I took leadership but mainly, we worked as a team to do the activities that was assign to us the best way we could and we did it as a team.
