Year 10 Health – Road Safety Campaign

SLCH6387.MOV

What were the biggest things you learnt while completing this task?  The biggest thing that I learnt during this assessment is that you really have to practice and log hours and hours of driving just to even start to think that your somewhat experienced. I also learnt that you can’t afford to make any major mistakes on the road like having a quick look at your phone otherwise you may put your life and others in jeopardy.
What one piece of advice would you pass on to young drivers above all else? Why?  I would pass on that you need to practice more then you think. This is as the more experience you have of seeing different situations on the road the better chance you have of avoiding potential accidents and making mistakes on your own.
Write down a pledge that you will commit to when you start driving. Why did you pick these things to commit to? How will you stick to these commitments?  I will commit to not looking at my phone and focusing on the road at all times. I will do this so I don’t get distracted and take my eyes off the road and put myself/others in danger. I will stick to this by putting my phone on silent or away where I can’t see it light up such as in my pocket.
