Summary

This term in Innovat[ED] we did a project on business and management called $20 boss. In the project, you had to come up with a business idea and start a business with only $20. You could work in groups and I choose to work with Ayden H. I really struggled with making an idea because it’s quite hard to think of something new. I thought that is project was to have fun, make a business, and enjoy Innovat[ES] for term 3. Right away we realized that dog tags were not going to sell and not be a good idea. A couple of weeks ago we did a workshop about marketing I learned how to interact with customers with our product and attract our target audience. I would change the way we managed our time because it was not efficient enough for us to create a business.

Designing

Our business was called Bush Buddies and we were making little wooden animals with either a magnet or a broach pin on the back. We came up with a few designs and a logo. We would make these pins with the laser cutter and wood. Our idea was that 25% of our profits were going to team trees which plants one tree every dollar you give. Term 3 has been a very fun term and hope my business turns out a success.

Capabilities

The capabilities that I relied on are creativity and problem-solving, I used problem-solving because we did really have a good idea at the start and had to change our idea to something new. I could improve on my collaboration because I didn’t really help Ayden that much.
