What were the biggest things you learnt while at the RACbstreetsmart excursion:
During the RAC event we were told about the consequences of distracted driving and how it can impact not just you but others as well. One of the biggest things I learned while at the RAC excursion was even the littlest distraction can cause major impacts on your life. They showed this to us by re-enacting a car crash that involved a car with 3 passengers crashing into a motorcycle. It then showed what paramedics and policemen went through to make sure everyone was ok The tragic event showed us how a slight distraction can cause a major impact.
What one piece of advice would you pass on to young drivers above all else? Why
Protecting lives: The most important reason to prioritize safety is to protect lives. Motor vehicle accidents are leading cause of death among young drivers. By adhering to traffic laws, avoiding distrations, and driving defensively, young drivers can greatly reduce the chances of being involved in a collision that could result in severe injuries or fatalities
