I recently took part in $20 Boss. I had a group including Thenuk, Adam, Charlie A and Charlie M. We have been working on this project for 1 term. Unfortunately for next term, I am changing from $20 Boss. I think that the reason for me quitting, is not doing well at the start. I think that we got stuck with one idea or one thing that we wanted to do. We saw that phone stands did not work but we just stayed on one idea and did not change. When we did see that we were going to change, we would waste a very long thinking of a new Idea while other groups would finish thinking of other ideas much quicker. We really wanted to do phone stands and when we did our practise pitch and it did not work out. We tried to pigeonhole phone stands into a question that was not well thought out. So then when we were supposed to adapt and make a solution to a problem, we did not think of certain factors. We looked at these factors and we just did not see anyone buying the product. So again, we wasted another week thinking of another idea. Which was like some VR headset thing.  I think we used up 4 weeks thinking of an idea. We should have made this time a lot shorter and we could have worked on the pitch and polishing our idea. We still have not pitched or got money. When we did the practise pitch, we did not do very well. Last week we decided we were going to do Coaster Art. I feel that this decision was to late and we should have worked harder at the start rather than the end. I don’t think out group was doing $20 Boss wholeheartedly and I think it was the same with me. That is why I decided to do something else to make sure what I am doing next term is what I enjoy. I think that $20 Boss is a great project. Something that is a very important experience to understand how it feels to be an entrepreneur. I just feel that our group wasted the opportunity. Even if you don’t want to be an Entrepreneur like me, it is an important experience to learn from.
