This week the Murdoch council hosted an ice cream fundraiser on the common to help support and raise awareness for the Salvation Army. I really enjoyed the whole process of helping organise and make this fundraiser happen, and I think all our efforts paid off.
<- I made most of the posters and social media material that was used to promote the event.
The idea of the fundraiser was to sell scoops of ice cream during recess and lunch where all proceeds went to the Salvation Army, and also raise awareness of their work through a quiz around topics of homelessness.
Throughout this experience, I found I learnt a lot about how important it is to be adaptable, as there were changes we had to make regarding COVID situations, as well as other minor details of the fundraiser in order to allow it to run as smoothly as possible.
