We started by reading The Giver so that we could connect The Giver to Project Utopia as Utopia is the Greek word for the Perfect World. After that, we watched the film. We read The Giver because it served as an illustration of an ideal society and utopia.
Reading
We travelled to Fremantle to examine the area and consider possible structures. Then we created a pamphlet that included information about the space’s history. We examined all the statues and monuments before examining the shipping containers and being shown the location of the next rearrangement.
Fremantle Excursion
We watched the Urban Living video to learn about the issues facing the city and its potential for innovation and sustainability.
Documentary Studies
We gave a speech and invited the parents to listen once we had completed the area’s final result. We created cospaces and a portion of the prototype for display. I contributed to creating the prototype.
