Design Thinking Process

First of all we picked out our groups. Then we sat down and discussed 10 ideas that we should do. Then we picked the top 5 and went from there. Our top 5 was, Phone charms, Orbeez Stress balls, scrunchies, keyrings and clay charms. From there we chose Phone Charms and scrunchies. Then we made a presentation about our pricing and strategies to sell. We then showed our teacher it and got it approved by her. Then we went to collect our $30. Straight after that we went to buy the things we needed for just the Phone Charms as we already had the items for the scrunchies. We bought the items from The Reject Shop and Kmart. At The Reject Shop we bought our packaging which was organza bags. At Kmart we bought beads and string. My partner also brought her own beads and string from home. Then we started the process of making them at each innovated session. We started to realize that we didn’t have enough time to just do it at innovated so we started taking it back home and doing it. After awhile we realized that we did not have enough money for scrunchies so we had to drop the idea and just concentrate on the phone charms. Finally came the day of the Christmas Market. A few periods before the Market we planned out how we would set up our market and finalized how it would be set up. Then it was time for the market and we sold nearly all of our products. We had 4 left so then we went and sold them to our peers.

Capabilities we used-

Organized- We were very organized with our stall and the process we packaged and sold. We were also organized during the process of making it.

Problem Solving- We problem solved it when we did not have enough money to make the other product. We dropped the idea and went on making the other one.

Effective Communication-We had good communication with each other and we also had a good communication with our consumers. We were shy at first then we got used to it and started talking well with our consumers and ended up selling well.

Resilient-We were resilient when our stall wasn’t selling to well. We did not just give up and not talk to the consumers well. We tried changing our way of talking to our consumers which made them buy our products.

Collaborative-We were collaborative when we were making the products. We didn’t have much of the better looking beads so we evenly distributed them so we could evenly have a share of making nicer phone charms.
