Dear year 8 me:
LEARNING EXPERIENCE:
Over the course of the year I have learnt a lot of things at all saints. Most of these have been about studying techniques and various other things that have helped me pass the next test and learn things with greater efficiency. And I believe out of those things I have learn that effective concentrated studying is WAY more effective then studying while distracted for hour on end. The way I have done this is by trying to remove all distractions when I have been studying (things I know will distract me) I put some music on and I get to work and the information seeps in allot quicker and is more enjoyable.
WHAT I WOULD CHANGE:
But if there was one thing that I would want to change if I could do year 8 again is probably tell myself TO GET THE HELL OUT OF LANGUAGES or if that isn’t possible then chose French over mandarin. because the way they teach languages here is in my eyes a by far the worst experience/class.
MOST ENJOYABLE EXPERENCE:
But apart from the experience of languages in ASC everything else has been a very enjoyable experience, but if I were to chose one thing that stood out from everything else is the amazing atmosphere and most people here in particular within my friend group THE SOCCER RETARDS.
BIGGEST CONTRIBUTION:
I believe I have contributed to all saints in a few ways, either by contributing to the amazing community or the general atmosphere of all saints. But I think I have stood out competing for Cowan in sporting events. I.E. inter-house sport where year 7-8 has won 3 out of 4 terms of it but also getting points for Cowan in all the carnivals.
WHAT ADVISE WOULD I GIVE TO SOMEONE STARTING YR 8:
Enjoy year 8 this year will form many of your memoreis and belive me, we all do cringy stuff but one of the great things abou it is that we all can laugh about it later, so dont worry and enjoy yourself
