My Leadership Journey

Junior School Captain

Being voted to be one of the Junior School Captain was very surprising but I took this opportunity and ran with it.

Coming to all saints college in year 5 I thought that y chances of becoming a captain in year 6 were very slim. So when I was voted in by the whole Junior School, students and staff, I was both excited and nervous. While filling this huge role I learnt many new and important skills. I learnt how to use public speaking skills as I had to speak at all of the Junior School assemblies. I also learnt how to organise my own event. While being Junior school captain I held the door decorating contest. But the most important skill I learned was how to be a part of a team. The leadership team all worked together to be the best leaders we could be. This experience was very beneficial for me.

Year 7 Class Representative

In 2021 semester 2, I was voted in to be one of the Class Representatives.

At the beginning of the year, I put my hand up to be voted in to be one of the semester 1 class reps. I did not get voted in to be in this role. But I tried again in semester 2 and thankfully became the semester 2 class rep. Although this role requires less input compared to Junior School Captain, I still try my best to be the best leader I can be. Overall being a class representative taught me some new things. One is how to be organized and knowing what homework or events needed to be put on the board. Although sometimes I forgot I think I did a fine job. I am glad that I got the opportunity to run for another leadership role.
