$20 Boss

$20 boss is a project that my friends and I did for year 8. We had to create our own product at school and run a business. The school provided us with a $20 loan each. There were 4 people in our group so we got $80. Through this journey, there were ups and downs but we all managed to make a profit. We decided to make terrariums. The process of making the plants was a difficult thing but we made this work.

First, we had to think of what we had to do. Our first idea of what bath bombs but we decided not to do that because not all of us wanted to do it. We thought of plants because we know that people would like plants. Then one of us said they had terrariums so we did that. Then we had to work out how to make them. We had to answer a series of questions like what is our target audience, why people need it. Once we had finished this we could get our loan which was $80. We gave our part of the money to one of our team members to buy the products for the plants. When we had all our products we could start to make the terrariums. It took us a while to find this quickest way to make it. Then we had to use many lessons and some work at home, but we managed to get it done for the markets. Once we sold them we would put the money back in our business and repeat the process for the next market.

The markets were held at school where we could sell our product to our friends, family, and teachers. We had to be responsible to bring decorations for our table and a flout to pay back customers. Our group managed to sell all of our products in these markets and be made $650-700.

I think overall our group did a good job on our project. We worked well as a group and helped each other if we were stuck and if there were any problems we managed to fix them together. I think that this was a great expertness to have in our life so we know all about having a business and running one.
