My group in InnovatED art term 2 was Cana, Ella and me. We needed to create a project that can make a positive difference in the community. Our first original goal was to put inspirational quotes on rocks and put them around the school for people to find. But then we ended up with an idea to paint rocks and put inspirational words on them that can inspire children in their writing. My group and I sent a forms email to Pri-primary, year 1, year 2 teachers asking if this idea would suit them and how we could improve. We got a reply back and all of them liked the idea and gave us some things we could include. Like making some rocks with lower case and upper case letters, writing the words on natural resources and using trickier words.
An obstacle my group and I faced was getting our work done in time, we did a lot of planning and worked a lot on our PowerPoint but we got our rocks on the last lesson so we had to rush. But we solved this problem by working efficiently and painting them quickly so we could get on the word stage more quickly. One of our group members also brought them home to paint words on them and decorated them a bit so we were on time for the show case presentation.
