In 2020, I was lucky enough to be one of the 8Z Class Representative. It involved collaborating with Mr Green and the other class reps to contribute our ideas and thoughts to improve and develop the transition program.

Our main responsibility of being a class representative, was discussing our visions for the Year 7 & 8 assemblies then effectively executing them. This involved arranging musical items and other things that would be performed during the assemblies to keep the audience engaged as well as making sure that we were all prepared with our scripts ready. To ensure that the assembly ran smoothly and everyone was organised, we had fortnightly meetings so that we could check on where each other were up to and if anyone needed help with the task that they were allocated.

Even when we went into home learning, we still discussed our ideas with each other that could potentially be put into action when we got back to physical school.

Overall, my experience as a class representative was a great insight to the preparation and effort that teachers and staff have to do to make everything at the school run smoothly. I now have a deepened respect for all of their efforts.
