In 2019 I participated in ASC rowing team. In year 7 the rowing coordinator Mrs Bosero came and talked to my peers and I about this new opportunity that we would be given the next year. The idea of being a part of a sporting club for something that I hadn’t tried before was exciting, so I filled out the form and received an email a couple of days later saying I had been excepted.

Over the year I trained 3 times a week after school, in doubles, quads, and singles. Eventually, I took part in the regatta rowing competitions. These were very exciting, however with the goal of winning the races we needed to use teamwork and dedication to get there. Rowing taught me how to listen to others and work together with an end goal in mind.
